My daughter is 8 years old. She was diagnosed with severe autism when she was 2 and a half years old. When she was about 4 and a half years old, I applied for the behavioral therapy service of Educational & Therapeutic Services with the help of social workers. Before that, she also received behavioral therapy for almost 2 years, but it didn’t work. She can’t use the toilet, can’t communicate, and can’t control her behavior. After switching to TES, the therapists Juim and Kai would come to my house to teach her every day after school. At the beginning, there were some simple command movements, but my daughter had to learn a simple command movement for a long time. At the beginning, my daughter didn’t cooperate and didn’t follow, and even yelled. The therapists were very patient, professional and methodical. They could quickly calm my daughter to follow the instructions. During the 2-3 hours of study time every day, the therapist interacted with the child all the time. At that time, my daughter couldn’t sit still at all, but she persisted under the guidance of the therapist. Juim made a series of plans and goals according to my daughter’s situation, from her diet, behavior, language, cognition, toileting and so on. Teach her to practice going to the toilet, washing hands, pronunciation, behavior correction every day… Simple things are taught repeatedly every day, over and over again, and I am very touched. As a mother, sometimes I can’t do so patiently and persistently, but they Do it every day. Juim is also responsible for the training of parents. She is a very serious, professional and capable therapist. The plan she made for us was detailed into forms and documents, and every step was implemented in place. She also speaks very contagiously, sometimes seeing my daughter’s progress is very slow, I will become negative, she can always bring my emotions to become positive. Just doing simple things repeatedly every day, my daughter learned to go to the toilet, no longer rely on diapers, can execute some simple instructions, and also learned to wait and stop, which is a leap forward. Our journey with Laura Simpson began in 2020, during a particularly challenging period in our lives. My son Antony was exhibiting very difficult behaviors, and despite trying various approaches and having some success with ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy at home, we faced a significant regression when he transitioned to a school setting.
