Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist
Job Summary
Educational & Therapeutic Services, Inc. is looking for highly motivated individuals who provide one-on-one instruction for children with autism. This is a PART-TIME JOB opportunity to work in a child’s home in the afternoons/evenings.
Job Duties
- Implement individualized instructional programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Teach academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and adaptive skills to children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Address challenging behaviors with supervision from a supervisor.
- Collect accurate and reliable data.
- Receive supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) / clinical supervisors.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Comply with the company’s administrative and clinical policies.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by earning continuing education credits.
Essential Qualifications
- Interest in working with children and/or adolescents with special needs
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation
- Completion of one of the following:
- Minimum of twelve semester hours of college coursework and currently enrolled in a course of study leading to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields
- Minimum of 48 semester hours (or their equivalent) of college coursework in an accredited college or university
- Five hundred (500) hours of experience in ABA techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, education, related or unrelated field
- 800 hours of relevant course work and/or training in principles of psychology, child development, learning theory, positive behavior support techniques, dual diagnosis, and/or behavior analysis. May be included as part of the degree program.
- Completion of 40 hours of classroom instructions on Applied Behavior Analysis.
- One year of relevant experience working with children with autism and/or other developmental delays
- Ability to work independently
Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)
Job Summary
Educational & Therapeutic Services, Inc. seeks clinical supervisors (BCBAs) who can work with children and adolescents with autism and related disorders in King/Snohomish County.
Job Duties
- Conduct initial assessment and re-assessment for children and adolescents with autism or related disorders
- Write and update functional assessment and behavior plans
- Supervise Behavior Technicians (Therapists) work and ensure quality of our therapeutic service
- Conduct Behavior Technicians’ annual performance reviews
- Monitor clients’ progress and make changes as needed
- Work with clients’ whole families to promote generalization of acquired skills
- Consult with parents, other family members, hired caregivers, teachers, and other professionals for service coordination
- Assist in hiring and training Behavior Technicians
- Attend supervisor meetings and collaborate with colleagues
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
- BCBA certificate
- Master’s degree
- Clinical experience in a position that utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and train others
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Bilingual and/or bi-cultural background, a plus
